With an air

It has been so long since I heard your voice,
This is far from what would be my choice,
I'd give anything to see you smile,
Something I haven't seen in a long while,
I know you're upset with me,
And you have every right to be,

If angry is what you are,
Then unleash your fire,
Have it out with me so I know what is wrong,
I can take anything you dish out, cause I'm strong,
And I will still have just as much love for you,
Because unconditional love is what I have for you,
If only you would just talk to me,
And then you wouldn't be so angry.

It's my fault, I made the mistake,
And I hope my apology is what you will take,
I was so confused and lost,
Which turned out to have a big cost,
For not only was it the love of my life I did loose,
But also you, none of which I would choose.

My feelings got mixed up and only after it was too late,
I realised that I had made such a big mistake,
But even if what I thought came to pass,
Your happiness is all that would be cast,
Seeing you happy is all I could want for you.

So never forget my promise to you,
I will wait for you as long as I have to,
No matter what happens or how much it hurts,
You will never have to go on a search,
For I will always be here,
Waiting for you with a tear.
